    Question re: sambucus nigra: I see you know the plant well.

    I think I have this plant growing in my garden, but I was researching online, and the way the pictures show the leaves, they look APPOSED, that is, each one of the leaves is across another one just like that, and on a flat plane again you see two leaves apposed. You can check it out by looking online . However the bush growing here has exactly the same flowers and fruit as the sambucus nigra from the internet picture, - elderberry -, the only difference is, the leaves look different: they are also oval, the plant is a strong upright plant when growing from a seed on the ground, but the leaves don't grow on a flat plane apposed. They grow along the stem up, vertically. - if looking at a brand new baby plant with wide light green, oval beautiful strong leaves.

    Can you please show me a picture of the leaves of your bush, so I can see if it is the same plant? I am afraid to consume the fruit and flowers because I think it might be a different berry and as you know it is easy to get poisoned by eating the wrong berries.

    And do you know if there is a plant where the flowers and fruit look exactly like sambucus nigra, but not the leaves, and it is a dangerous plant?
